Where to find Cryptocarya microneura

Cryptocarya microneura is found near the edges of rainforest in Royal National Park. It is often seen as small individual trees, but can become quite common and even be a main canopy tree in the right habitat. It is found mainly in the areas around the Hacking River, Bola Creek and nearby gullies.

Description of Cryptocarya microneura

Leaves alternate with raised midvein on upper surface, distinct lateral veins and fine areolate venation.

Can be distinguished from Cryptocarya glaucescens by the raised midvein and lack of dusty undersides.

Can be distinguished from Endiandra sieberi by the clearly alternate leaves, reddy bark and fewer, more distinct lateral veins.
