About Cryptocarya microneura

Cryptocarya microneura is found near the edges of rainforest in Royal National Park. It is often seen as small individual trees, but can become quite common and even be a main canopy tree in the right habitat. It is found mainly in the areas around the Hacking River and Bola Creek, and nearby gullies.

In Sydney, Cryptocarya microneura is mainly see in the northern beaches and Chatswood area.

Cryptocarya microneura can be distinguished from Cryptocarya glaucescens by the raised midvein and lack of dusty undersides.

Cryptocarya microneura can be distinguished from Endiandra sieberi by the reddy bark, fewer more distinct lateral veins and lack of translucent leaf margins.
